Lincolnshire Business Awards
Back in February, we were thrilled to learn that West Lindsey Landscapes had been shortlisted for the Commitment to People Award at the Lincolnshire Business Awards. In March, the team donned their best glad rags for the ceremony at the Lincolnshire Showground, where we waited with fingers crossed as the winners were announced.
Although another (very deserving) company took the main prize, we were genuinely surprised, and delighted, to receive a Highly Commended award. Even more special, we later learned this was the first time the judges had ever given this kind of commendation. It’s an incredible honour to be recognised in this way for something that matters so much to us.
Supporting and empowering our people has always been at the heart of what we do, and this award is a real testament to the effort, care and passion that go into creating a positive and supportive workplace. You’ll now find our shiny new plaque proudly displayed in reception!

Project Updates
Portland Square and Fox Street
In April, we began work in the centre of Sutton-in-Ashfield, focusing on Portland Square for our client Lindum Construction. The new scheme aims to revitalise the town centre with a fresh, modern design. Key features include two raised lawns with integrated seating, complemented by newly planted semi-mature trees.
We’re also transforming the derelict Fox Street site into a vibrant green space, planting hedges, shrubs, and trees. This new area will become the future home of Sutton Market, hosting regular events and special market days.

Lindum BMS Delivers New Commercial Units for Gedling Borough Council at Hill Crest Park
In response to the increasing demand for high-quality commercial space at Hill Crest Park, Lindum BMS has successfully completed the construction of new business units on behalf of Gedling Borough Council. These purpose-built developments are designed to stimulate local economic growth by supporting job creation and providing flexible space for small to medium-sized enterprises.
To enhance the appeal and functionality of the site, our team designed and implemented a comprehensive soft landscaping scheme. This included the installation of 1,614 ornamental shrubs across carefully planned planting beds, featuring a diverse mix of 17 plant species. Nine standard-sized trees were also planted to complement the landscape and provide a natural canopy.
The scheme was completed with decorative bark mulch and a turfed border, creating a visually appealing and welcoming environment for businesses and visitors alike.
