Relocation
After establishing the business in June 2008, from Simon and Nicci’s house, the move to Furrowland at Newton on Trent in 2012 had served West Lindsey Landscapes well as a base for staff, equipment and storage purposes.
With the recent increase of staff numbers due to the company’s growth and expansion West Lindsey Landscapes Limited made the move to Eagle House, Lincoln. The decision was made to look for something ‘different’, something that would meet the growing requirements of the business, and give us the professional feel, that we felt was lacking at Furrowland, a move to further advance our success. In keeping with our future ambitions and plans. There was never going to be a better time to begin the search for our new home.
Our new head office Eagle House Exchange Road, along with yard space at Paving Way, which is part of the Whisby Road Industrial Estate give us a more centralised location. These premises offer us longevity as we develop our identity in Lincoln, our new location allows access to local businesses and suppliers alike. These two spaces fulfil the Directors ambition for future growth and prosperity. The office spaces are perfect for our ever-growing teams, and we can see a bright future here.

Apprenticeships
The West Lindsey Landscapes ethos has always been to nurture staff and promote from within, enhancing people’s careers and statuses.
As such we are proud to partner with Riseholme College and offer a fulfilling apprenticeship in Landscaping. We offer our apprentices the chance to work towards an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Horticulture: Landscaping, including Level 2 Diploma in Work-based Horticulture. This is gained through a day release to Riseholme College, with a further four days on site with our highly trained team, learning the practical elements to the role.
Over the years this has proved to be a success. Site supervisor William Jones began his career as an apprentice and is now leading teams and sites achieving some great results.
Daniel Callaghan, is our latest apprentice landscaper, having joined us in July 2023 – he is looking forward to beginning his landscaping journey with us and Riseholme College.
We have also engaged with T3 Training in Barnsley who are currently leading our apprentice estimator Mia Owen towards achieving her Level 3 – Construction Support Technician. Mia has become invaluable to the team, combining her studies with her daily role in the estimating department.
The search doesn’t stop there, recently becoming involved with Lagat Training College, we are always looking for new team members who we believe can enhance the team – making us a leading force in the Commercial Landscaping sector.
Project Highlight
Haughton Way – Walesby
This September we completed a brand-new housing scheme located in the village of Walesby, Nottinghamshire. In 2022 RG Carter Construction commenced works on 19 affordable houses on behalf of Nottingham Community Housing Association within this lovely rural setting.
Early stages of the project required our services from the boundary treatment of the existing native hedge, to the consultation of the landscape design, fast forward to September 2023 where we have just finalised our landscaping works. Each new home was installed with amenity turf to both front and rear gardens, ornamental low-level shrubs, and 16 new trees have been planted throughout the site.
Our final stages consisted of a large public open space approx. 2000m2 which we seeded with a wildflower meadow mix, blending a combination of grasses, perennials, and annual flowers.
We would like to say a big thank you to our clients and suppliers for their continued support of our company, and a congratulations to our Team Leader Vincent Coyle and his team for completing another wonderful scheme.
New Starters
Mia Owen - Estimating Apprentice
Our new Estimating Apprentice, Mia Owen, started with us in May 2023 and has already become a true asset to the company.
In the past 6 months Mia has achieved numerous accomplishments from passing her driving test, securing multiple projects, and starting her Level 3 apprenticeship as a ‘Construction Support Technician’ at T3 Training & Development.
During her apprenticeship course, Mia will learn an array of skills such as Health and Safety, Surveying, Tendering & Procurement, and Digital Construction.
Under the guidance of the Commercial Manager Ross Golding, Mia will continue to learn all things estimating and will be an important figure in growing the company further.
Daniel Callaghan
Introducing the newest member to the West Lindsey Landscapes family, Daniel Callaghan, affectionately known by the rest of the team as “Little Dan”.
Dan has joined the team fresh from college, already completing a level 1 course in Agriculture and is keen to continue this learning journey by reattending Riseholme College one day a week for his level 2 qualification in Horticulture and Landscaping.
During his time there, Dan will be learning the intricacies of Horticulture, from soil quality tests to tree and plant identification, coinciding nicely with the in-house practical knowledge we teach here on site at West Lindsey Landscapes.
Already showing great enthusiasm in his short time here we hope Dan can enjoy a long and prosperous career with us.
